The Rotary Club of Akosombo Dam City, in collaboration with the VRA Hospital, Akosombo, the Asuogyaman Health Directorate and other partners, has organized a free health screening exercise for residents of Akwamu Small London.
The exercise, aimed at bringing quality healthcare closer to the people, provided a wide range of services to the community.
Beneficiaries were screened for Blood Pressure (BP), laboratory services, Ear, Nose and Throat (E&T) services, eye care services, nutrition and diet services, physiotherapy services, mental health services, as well as consulting and counselling and family planning services.
According to the organizers, the programme was initiated to offer health support to the people of Akwamu Small London and to promote preventive healthcare and early detection of health conditions.
Residents who participated expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club, VRA Hospital, the Asuogyaman Health Directorate and all partners for the kind gesture, calling for more of such interventions in deprived communities.
The Rotary Club of Akosombo Dam City reiterated its commitment to continue partnering with health institutions to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the Asuogyaman District and beyond.
