Volo Senior High School in the North Tongu District has emerged as one of the best performing Senior High Schools in the Volta Region.
The school, which is one of the Community Day SHS built under former President John Dramani Mahama’s first term, is ranked 6th out of 68 SHS/Technical schools in the Volta Region in this year’s WASSCE.
Despite being located in a deprived community, Volo SHS has continued to record excellent academic performance.
According to reports, while about 15 schools in the Volta Region reportedly recorded zero passes to tertiary, Volo SHS produced 32 students who have qualified for tertiary education.
Rev. Frank Sesi, SISO of Juapong Circuit B Schools, has therefore advised parents to consider enrolling their wards at Volo SHS for quality academic work.
He also appealed to government to provide the school with the needed resources to further enhance teaching and learning.
