The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has maintained the Monetary Policy Rate at 14 percent, citing broadly balanced risks to inflation and economic growth.

The decision was taken unanimously by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at its 132nd regular meeting which concluded on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

According to the Committee, this marks the third consecutive meeting this year that the rate has been held steady.

The MPC said the decision was informed by resilient domestic economic activity, moderating underlying inflationary pressures and robust performance of the external sector, despite heightened global uncertainty.

The Bank says it will continue to monitor economic developments both locally and globally before its next policy decision.
