The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr. Osman Ayariga, has cautioned young people against taking and sharing nude photos and videos, warning that such content could haunt them in future.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the maiden National Youth Parliament Mock Sitting, organized by the NYA in partnership with the Parliament of Ghana, Mr. Ayariga said many young people do not consider the long-term consequences of sharing intimate content with partners.

“People should put a stop to sharing their naked videos and photos with people. You have no idea what the future holds and the office that you will find yourself in the future. Sharing such information will haunt you in the future. Let us put a stop to it; it won’t help us in any way,” he said.

He noted that videos shared today in the name of love could become a source of embarrassment tomorrow, especially when relationships end. According to him, such material could easily resurface when the individual rises to occupy a leadership or public position.

“The video you share today because you believe you are in love can come back to haunt you when that love fades away,” he cautioned.

Mr. Ayariga urged the youth to adopt responsible digital habits and exercise caution on social media and other digital platforms, stressing the need to protect their privacy.
