Mpakadan, Asuogyaman — Thirty-one (31) young people in Mpakadan have been enrolled in Hairdressing and Dressmaking under the Thomas Ampem Nyarko Skills Development and Youth Empowerment Program (TANSDYEP).
The beneficiaries were officially enrolled at a ceremony held today at Mpakadan, where the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko, was represented by his Personal Assistant, Karim Awudu.
As part of the package, the initial payment covering their three-year training period has been fully paid to their respective masters and madams, ensuring that the beneficiaries can begin their vocational training without the burden of training fees.
According to Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko, the initiative goes beyond skills training.
> “This initiative is about more than skills training—it is about creating opportunities, building livelihoods, and empowering our youth to become self-reliant and productive members of society,” he stated.
He reaffirmed his commitment to investing in the youth of Asuogyaman and creating sustainable pathways for them to build a better future.
Residents and beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the intervention, describing it as timely and life-changing.
Asuogyaman is moving forward.
