The District Governor of Rotary, Dr. Jack Andrews Dotsey, has led a delegation on a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council.
The meeting centered on strengthening collaboration between Rotary and the Regional Coordinating Council to advance key development initiatives across the Volta Region.
Focus on key sectors
Discussions highlighted areas of mutual interest including education, healthcare, water and sanitation, youth empowerment, and community development.
Dr. Dotsey outlined Rotary’s ongoing humanitarian projects in the region and expressed the club’s readiness to scale up interventions in partnership with government and local stakeholders.
Minister commends Rotary’s work
Hon. James Gunu commended Rotary International for its consistent humanitarian services and community impact in the Volta Region.
He encouraged the organization to continue partnering with the VRCC to deliver sustainable projects that directly improve the lives of residents.
“The Regional Coordinating Council remains committed to working with development partners like Rotary to drive inclusive growth and improve service delivery in education, health, and sanitation,” the Minister stated.
The courtesy call forms part of Rotary’s district engagements aimed at aligning its service projects with regional development priorities for 2026.
