ACCRA, Ghana – A 37-year-old woman has allegedly stabbed her 27-year-old husband to death following a midnight argument at their residence.
According to neighbours, the couple were known to quarrel frequently.
“Their wrangles started at midnight, and it was normal to us because they always scuffle. We heard the lady screaming saying that someone’s child died and we thought those are their private matters so no neighbour stepped out. We later heard that he died,” a resident told The Daily Newsflash.
Police have confirmed the incident and say investigations are ongoing. The suspect is in custody assisting with investigations.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at a morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Authorities are urging the public to report domestic disputes early to the police or relevant authorities instead of treating them as “private matters.”
