ACCRA – The Coalition of Unemployed Trained Teachers has called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to publicly account for the recent teacher recruitment exercise.
The group expressed dissatisfaction with what it describes as a lack of transparency in the selection process.
According to the Coalition, thousands of trained teachers applied for limited vacancies but were left in the dark regarding how successful candidates were selected.
They are demanding that GES provides full details on the criteria used, the number of applicants, and how the final list of recruited teachers was determined.
The call adds to growing public pressure on the GES and the Ministry of Education to ensure fairness and transparency in teacher recruitment.
