Two students from Christ the King (CKC) Senior High School in Obuasi are currently receiving medical treatment after sustaining injuries from a violent attack involving cutlass wounds. The assailants are reportedly a group of young men suspected to be from Pomposo, Akaporiso, and Tutuka.

According to the headmaster, Owusu Gyimah, it is believed that the attackers are associated with a group that includes some students from the school. This group had previously attempted to intrude on the campus to harass female students but was thwarted by the school’s cadet.

He further alleged that tensions escalated when members of the group identified and attacked the cadet leaders who had consistently obstructed their activities.

In light of the increasing levels of violence recorded in Senior High Schools, it is imperative to consider the establishment of police posts on campuses.
