The District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Honorable Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has extended substantial support to the victims of the unfortunate Peki-Tsame road accident who are currently receiving treatment at the Ho Teaching Hospital.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, accompanied by the Constituency Youth Organizer and an officer from the North Tongu District Assembly, visited the victims to evaluate their condition and offer words of encouragement as they progress in their recovery.

As part of the intervention, medical expenses totaling approximately GH₵110,000 were covered for four victims who had undergone various surgical procedures due to injuries sustained to the neck, knee, shoulder, and jaw. The patients are reportedly responding positively to treatment.

This visit is part of the ongoing efforts by the leadership of North Tongu to support the victims and their families in the wake of the accident. The delegation engaged with both patients and medical personnel, assuring the victims of continued support throughout their recovery journey.

Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his compassionate leadership and dedication to the welfare of Ghanaians. She also praised Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for his contributions towards the medical assistance provided to the victims and acknowledged the concern shown by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu.

The North Tongu District Chief Executive reaffirmed the district leadership’s commitment to standing by the victims and their families as they work towards a full recovery.
