The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has mandated the immediate suspension of the Chief Executive Officer of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for a duration of two weeks.
In an official letter, the Minister articulated that this decision was prompted by the CEO’s declaration to halt the admission of emergency cases at the hospital.
The Minister asserted that the CEO’s actions were not in alignment with the directives issued by President John Mahama, thereby necessitating disciplinary action.
