The Volta Regional minister hosts the Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, on a series of engagements across the Volta Region aimed at strengthening peace, security, and social cohesion.
The Minister met with REGSEC, religious leaders, Zongo Chiefs, and key stakeholders to discuss emerging security concerns and the need for collective action, particularly in addressing the growing challenge of drug abuse among the youth.
They also visited the Ho Central Prison, where the Minister interacted with inmates and shared ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing rehabilitation and reintegration. He further made a donation to support inmate welfare and rehabilitation programmes.
The Minister and his delegation also visited the Asogli Traditional Council, where we engaged the Chiefs and Elders on sustaining peace and development in the region. The Minister also supported the Asogli Educational Trust Fund and other community development initiatives.
The Volta Region remains committed to working with all stakeholders to preserve the peace and stability that continue to drive our development agenda.
