A Ghanaian hairdresser identified as Ms Akuffo is seeking evacuation back home after surviving a vi0lent xen0phobic attack in Johannesburg.
The 42-year-old, who has lived in South Africa for over 20 years, was reportedly attacked with sharp weap0ns while working.
Citi News reported that her son has petitioned Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Ministry to help bring her back home.
The incident comes as about 300 Ghanaians, including women and children, prepare to leave South Africa through a voluntary evacuation process following renewed anti-immigrant tensions.
