Sogakope Bridge is under threat during every year Easter festival if care is not taking. A 58yrs old Bridge which connects the other part of the country to the capital city and other regions of Ghana,as well as other countries like Togo , Benin, Nigeria and beyond is seriously under threat of overcrowded during Easter festival and its activities surrounded the festival which beyond the laws enforcement agencies in the area.
I called on appropriate authority to address this issue by meeting the chiefs, Queen mothers and opinion leaders of communities like Sokpoe ,Tefle and Sogakope to move the festival from the Bridge because this is only economical access for vehicular and pedestrians movement both in and out.
Ministry of Road and highways and Ministry of Tourism should please address this issue before it escalate to be national disaster . Thank you.
