The South Tongu District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon Victoria Dzeklo, has reiterated the local assembly’s unwavering commitment to developing infrastructure and policy frameworks aimed at turning the district into a leading hub for technical and vocational skills in Ghana.

Speaking at the 2026 Annual Creative Exhibition hosted by the Sogakope Technical Institute (SOTECH), Hon. Victoria Dzeklo stated that the development and modernization of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) remain central to the local assembly’s agenda to combat youth unemployment and foster regional industrial growth.

The DCE noted that the impressive creative and industrial output demonstrated by the final-year candidates across the electrical, fashion, and culinary departments serves as concrete proof that the wealth of the nation lies within the practical minds and hands of the youth. She emphasized that providing young people with the necessary tools, space, and capital to scale their technical talents is the most sustainable way to build local industries and secure livelihoods.

To support the rapid expansion of SOTECH, which has grown from a single student at its inception in 2022 to a vibrant population of about 350 learners, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo assured management that the South Tongu District Assembly will continue to prioritize classroom construction, workshop expansion, and targeted skills development. She challenged the graduating students to maintain high standards of discipline and innovation, promising that the government will remain a reliable partner in connecting their institutional talents with real-world economic opportunities.
