“We are pleased to bring to the notice of all farmers especially Cassava growers that, the executives of the Tongu Agriculture Development Association-TADA today met with the north Tongu District Director of Agric- Mr. Yaw Boateng in Battor. This was at the express call to TADA following the submission of Cassava growers databases and proposal to the DCE Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe on Monday 11th of May, 2026. The DCE swiftly handed over same to the Director of Agric without delays.
The meeting today gave some clear indications that, soon, there is going to be some solutions to the issues of Cassava glut in and outside the District.
TADA executives hope to hold an emergency leadership meeting to finalize the offers on the table, sign up on an MoU with a third party offtaker and later bring together all farmers for the takeoff of the offtakes. This is to ensure value for money for all farmers.
We assure all farmers to keep calm as we work speedily to solutions for the short term finality.
Meanwhile, TADA also wish to inform all Cassava growers that, there are going to be dedicated help lines for calls and WhatsApp to help fast track activities.”
