Two people are in critical condition and fighting for their lives after an weel loaded collided with a Pragyia tricycle on the Twifo Darmang to Kojokrom road.
According to eyewitness accounts, the weel loaded was heading toward a galamsey site at Twifo Darmang, while Pragyia, carrying five passengers, was travelling behind it. The incident occurred when the excavator driver allegedly lost control after the vehicle’s brakes failed. The excavator reportedly reversed and crashed into the Pragyia.
Out of the five people on board the Pragyia, two sustained serious injuries and are currently in critical condition.
The injured were rushed to a nearby health facility for emergency treatment. The condition of the remaining two passengers has not been disclosed.
