The honourable member of parliament for North Tongu and also the Foreign affairs minister accompanied by the District Chief Executive ( DCE) Honorable Victoria Yawa Doe on 22rd 2026, took a tour in the constituency to inspects some ongoing projects in the district.
Which includes:
- Atimpoku Asikumah big push road
- The Eastern Corridor Road (Volivo Road)
- JTL school block
- DORSEC morden dining hall complex and ultramodern boys dormitory.
The inspections begin on the Atimpoku – Asikumah road, one of the big push awarded projects and also proceeds to the Eastern Corridor Road which link from Asikumah – Volivo. The Honorable was very excited about how the contractors are putting in their whole efforts to make sure these roads projects complete successfully.
Further more he said, the Eastern Corridor road is not going to benefit travellers alone but also traders, business men and women as well because this will be one of busy road which includes market, school and many more so everyone will be a beneficiary of this road.
The Honorable minister assures the contractors that the government is ready to provide any resources they may need to make sure these projects are completed successfully.
The contractors also assured the minister that they will put in their best to deliver a good work, according to the contractor, he said, by December 2026, the Eastern Corridor Road will be successfully completed for commission.
As part of improving education in the constituency, the honorable proceed his tour to inspect some of the ongoing GETFUND school projects in the district. Some of these projects are the JTL basic school and also Dorfor Senior High School 2500 morden dining hall complex and an ultramodern boys dormitory which all these projects are under construction.
