President John Dramani Mahama earlier today went on an Inspection of communities affected by recent tidal waves in Fuveme;-VR
President Mahama says construction under the West Africa Coastal Areas (WACA) project is set to begin soon, pledging speedy implementation to tackle ongoing sea erosion in parts of the Volta Region.
Speaking after visiting some communities affected by recent coastal erosion, he said whilst the long-term works move through final design and procurement stages, interim measures, including estuary dredging by the VRA are expected to ease pressure on affected coastal communities and provide immediate relief.
