A neighbour has called the attention of the police against what he narrated as inhvman treatment and child abvse. It was alarged that the child was born by the man’s first wife who is no more with him.
According to the neighbour, sometimes the child would stay for days without food, sometimes he would be ti£d with a rope and flogged severally without food and water. He also informed the police that it has been long that the couple stopped the child from going to school, whereas their own children go to school everyday.
During interrogation, the couple said that the reason for the severe pvnishment is because the child st£als m0ney and meat from their pot of soup.
The police has referred the child for medical checkup and the couples are still in police custody for more investigation.
