A Ghanaian pastor known as Prophet Kwadwo is reportedly demanding GH¢40,000 in compensation from his ex-wife, Prophetess Happy, after she ended their marriage just one month after their wedding.
The situation, which has sparked significant public discussion, includes several key details:
The Pastor’s Claims
Prophet Kwadwo revealed during an interview on Oyerepa Afutuo (a program on Oyerepa FM) that he took a GH¢30,000 loan specifically to finance their wedding ceremony.
He claimed his intention was to repay the loan using monetary gifts received during the wedding, but his wife allegedly did not support him financially afterward.
Tensions reportedly began as early as the wedding day itself, following disagreements between the two families over food arrangements.
Because the marriage collapsed within such a short timeframe, he is seeking GH¢40,000 to cover the loan and other related expenses.
