REVELATION FOR YOUR TOMORROW
_If You Don’t Know Your Tomorrow, You Will Mess Up Your Today._
By Pastor Elvis Agyemang | Alpha Hour
There are many people who are not living a wasted life because they are evil, but because they have never seen their tomorrow.
Until God shows you how tomorrow looks like, you will not have the power to run away from Potiphar’s wife.
THE PROBLEM: A LIFE WITHOUT REVELATION
Joseph could say NO to Potiphar’s wife because he had seen the sun, the moon and eleven stars bowing to him. (Genesis 37:9). He knew his future was too big to trade for a few minutes of pleasure.
That is why many today are wasting their lives on alcohol, immorality, and all kinds of deviance. They have not seen what God has placed inside them.
The day God shows you your tomorrow, you will bow down in awe, and you will need time to forgive yourself for the distractions you chased.
Your future is too big for the mess you are in right now.
Some of you, posterity will not forgive you. A whole generation is dependent on you, but you never knew. There are certain sicknesses only you were anointed to heal, certain families only you were graced to lift, certain souls only your voice can convict. But the way you are living today, that grace is draining.
Men may not see you. We will keep clapping for you and calling you a great servant of God. But what you don’t know is that what would have made you great is draining away in secret. Every day you spend watching pornography and living a double life, you are emptying yourself. And when it is time to show up, there will be nothing to show.
THE SOLUTION: WE NEED A PEOPLE OF REVELATION
We don’t just need gifted people. We need people of revelation.
You should be in the choir by revelation. You should be an usher, a pastor, an entrepreneur by revelation – knowing the direction you are going.
I made a personal vow: I will never live my Christian life to impress a human being. No one prophesied to me that I would be a pastor. But I knew deep inside that there was something I couldn’t lay my hands on, and because of that, I began to prune and shape my life early.
What you are holding onto today may be the very enemy of where God wants to take you tomorrow. Sometimes when your leaders try to correct you, you think they are attacking you, but they are trying to preserve your Canaan.
There will come a day when you will see what you should have become, but you will have no qualification to get there. Don’t let it be too late.
THE KEY: FROM EGYPT TO CANAAN
God asked Moses, “What is in your hand?” He said, “A rod.” And God used that rod to bring Israel out of Egypt. But that same rod could not take them into Canaan. Moses himself did not enter.
Then God turned to his son Joshua and said: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” – Joshua 1:8
Here is the revelation:
Anything can bring you out of Egypt, but it takes revelation to take you to Canaan.
Anything can make you a Christian, but it takes revelation to make you a glorified Christian walking in favour, power and glory.
May God open your eyes in this season.
May you see where you ought to be, so you can let go of everything that is hindering you from getting there.
