Text: Genesis 18:14 – _”Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”_

INTRODUCTION:

The Angel asked Abraham, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” Let me also ask you child of God today: Is your problem too hard for God to solve? Is your burden too heavy for Him to carry?

Don’t He promise that we should cast our burdens on Him for He cares for us? Is He not the one who said, “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”? So why is your own heavy for the Lord? Is there any challenge that He doesn’t have a solution for?

We think it’s keeping late. We think the prophecy about us is delaying. But listen to what the Angel told Abraham:

“At the appointed time, I will return and fulfill the promise, according to the time of life…”

DEEP REVELATION AND LESSONS:

1. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD:
The name in that verse is “Yahweh”. The Angel was telling Abraham, the same God who created the universe from nothing, can He not create a child in a dead womb? Sarah was 90, Abraham was 100, their bodies were dead. But God specializes in impossibilities. Your doctor may say it’s over, your family may say it’s late, but God says, “Is anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:17, 27 – _”Nothing is too hard for thee… Is there anything too hard for me?”_

2. GOD WORKS WITH APPOINTED TIME:
God is not late, He is not early, He is on time. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, _”To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.”_
The Angel said, _”At the time appointed I will return…”_ That means heaven has a calendar for your life. The angel visited Abraham on another mission (to destroy Sodom), that was the appointed time for that mission, not for Sarah’s pregnancy. Whiles Abraham was waiting to hear the angel say, “Your wife will be pregnant now,” that wasn’t so. The angel said, “I’m going and I will return at the appointed time.”

God can be visiting you many times, but if the appointed time for your breakthrough is not due, He won’t release it. Not because He doesn’t hear you, not because He has forgotten, but because He works with time and season and does according to His word.

Your fasting and prayers are not wasted. They are preparing you for the appointed time.

3. THE TIME OF LIFE:
We have a time of life which is the number of years we are supposed to spend on this earth. Psalm 90:10, _”The days of our years are threescore years and ten…”_ And in between your years of life is the appointed time: the time to attend school, the time to work, the time to marry, the time to give birth, the time to be wealthy, the time to build your own house, etc.

So the Lord knows the days you are to spend and has programmed the appointed time inside it. That is why Sarah gave birth before she died. Because the Angel said _”according to the time of life”_ meaning: Until that appointed time has happened, God will not allow the enemies to take off your life. He shall fulfill every promise before your time of life ends.

4. DELAY IS NOT DENIAL:
Because we think it’s keeping late, we begin to doubt, to murmur, to try to help God like Abraham did with Hagar, and that brought Ishmael, a mistake. Many of us have produced Ishmaels because we couldn’t wait for Isaac. Ishmael is a child of struggle, Isaac is a child of promise. Don’t give birth to Ishmael in your impatience.

5. HEAVEN WILL RETURN:
The Angel said, _”I will return unto thee…”_ That means the same God who visited you before will return again. The same voice that spoke the prophecy will return to fulfill it. Hold on. Heaven has not forgotten your address.

5 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS:

1. Prayer for the Appointed Time:
Father, in the name of Jesus, let my appointed time for breakthrough come now. Every prophecy concerning my life, let it be fulfilled at its appointed time. Habakkuk 2:3 – _”For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”_

2. Prayer Against Delay and Frustration:
Every power causing delay in my marriage, my job, my childbearing, my promotion, be destroyed now in the name of Jesus. Father, let what has been delayed for years be released now. Daniel 10:13 – The prince of Persia delayed, but Michael came. Let angelic help locate me now.

3. Prayer for Strength to Wait:
Father, give me grace to wait for your time without producing Ishmael. Let my faith not fail. Let me not make a mistake that will delay Isaac. Isaiah 40:31 – _”They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.”_

4. Prayer for Protection Until the Promise is Fulfilled:
Father, according to the time of life, I declare I will not die before my promise is fulfilled. Every arrow of death assigned to cut me off before my Isaac arrives, backfire. Psalm 118:17 – _”I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”_

5. Prayer for the Impossible to Become Possible:
Father, in the name of Jesus, do what is too hard for men to do in my life. Open that closed womb, open that closed door, heal that incurable sickness, restore that lost glory. Genesis 18:14 – Is anything too hard for the LORD? Let my impossibility become a testimony now.

CLOSING DECLARATION:
Child of God, stop crying. Stop asking “Why is it late?” The Angel is saying, “I will return at the appointed time.” Your time is coming. Your Sarah will give birth. Your Isaac is on the way. Hold on to the time of life, God will fulfill every promise before your time ends. Onyame aye wie.
