_Theme: YOUR BREAKTHROUGH IS HIDING INSIDE SOMEONE’S PAIN_
_Texts: John 3:30 | Isaiah 53:5 | Ruth 1:1-22_
Say after me: MY EVENT MUST HAPPEN!
1. JOHN MUST DIE FOR JESUS TO BE ANNOUNCED!
Jesus Christ had all the power to deliver John the Baptist from prison. He is God! He opened prison doors for Peter, why not for John?
But John MUST die for Jesus to be announced!
Hear this mystery: An event must happen where a little princess will dance and demand for the head of John the Baptist. This is not news to God’s Kingdom! Heaven is aware!
Why did Jesus allow John to be beheaded? Because the law says – “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30
John was the voice in the wilderness, Jesus is the Word! As long as the voice is still shouting, the Word cannot take over! So John must decrease for Jesus to increase!
Sometimes God will allow your John the Baptist to die so that your Jesus can start!
That friend you love so much must leave you so that you can grow!
That small job you love must die so that the big business can start!
John must die for Jesus to be announced! If you are still crying over John, you will never see Jesus!
2. JESUS HIMSELF MUST GO THROUGH PAIN FOR US TO BE SAVED!
Jesus also had to go through a painful situation before we could be saved. That is why the Bible says – “By His wounds we are healed… by His stripes we are saved.” Isaiah 53:5
If Jesus prayed for the cup to pass and God removed it, there would be no salvation today! No healing! No breakthrough!
His pain became our gain! His sorrow became our salvation! His death became our life!
This is the law of the Kingdom: LIFE COMES OUT OF PAIN!
Just like how a woman brings forth life out of pain but rejoices after delivery! She cries, she pushes, she bleeds, but when the baby cries, she forgets the pain and rejoices! John 16:21
So is life! Your next level will make you forget the pain of this level!
3. SOMETIMES YOUR BREAKTHROUGH MUST COME FROM SOMEONE’S PAIN AND SORROW!
If your mother didn’t die, that rich uncle will never pay your school fees!
If you didn’t lose a loved one, maybe that door that has been closed would never have been opened!
If that landlord didn’t sack you, you would never build your own house!
Don’t hate the pain! The pain is a bridge!
Look at Ruth and Naomi!
When God saw that the blessing of Ruth lies on Naomi, but Naomi was not ready to move from her comfortable settlement in Moab. She was settled! She had husband, two sons, everything!
So there should be an event where she has to lose all! Her husband died! Her two sons died! She was left empty, bitter, with pain, crying – “Call me Mara!”
Before men it was painful, but before God it was breakthrough! Because if Naomi didn’t lose everything, she would never return to Bethlehem! And if she didn’t return to Bethlehem, Ruth would never follow her and marry Boaz, the rich man!
It was not Orpah’s breakthrough! Orpah kissed Naomi and stayed back in Moab and died in history! But Ruth held Naomi in her pain and followed her tears to her throne!
Sometimes you must lose all so that you can gain all!
4. THE LAW OF DIVINE CONNECTIONS – THE BROKEN CAR ANOINTING!
One day a wealthy man was going to church and suddenly his car broke down in the middle of the road. He became stranded. Expensive car, big man, but stranded!
Here comes a poor boy who was also going to church, trekking on foot. When he saw how the man was stranded, he went closer and asked – “Sir, do you need help?”
The man said – “Yes, if you can get me a mechanic.”
The poor boy had to walk a mile back to town, in the sun, sweating, to get a mechanic for the man. That was all he did! Just a little kindness in someone’s stranded moment!
The rich man looked at the boy and said – “From today, you are my personal son!”
Today that poor boy is great! Why? He helped a man in his EVENT!
Hear this lesson: Your greatness may be hiding inside someone’s broken car! Someone’s stranded moment is your announcement moment!
If the rich man’s car did not break down, the poor boy would never be announced!
WHAT ARE THE LESSONS FOR US TODAY?
Lesson 1: Don’t Stop Your Event With Prayer. John must die, Jesus must die, Naomi must lose, the car must break! Some events are not demonic, they are divine!
Lesson 2: Your Pain Is Someone’s Gain, And Someone’s Pain Is Your Gain. The Kingdom runs on sacrifice!
Lesson 3: Never Despise The Day Of Strandedness. When you see someone broken down, help them! That may be your rich man! That poor boy’s destiny was in a broken car!
Lesson 4: Orpah Mindset Will Keep You In Moab. Many of us kiss our pastors and go back when it is painful. But Ruth mindset follows pain to promotion! Hold on to Naomi even in tears!
FINAL 10 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS FOR PART 2 – SHOUT IT LIKE THUNDER:
1. Father, any John the Baptist that must decrease for my Jesus to increase – let him decrease now by fire! My ministry must start!
2. O Lord, by the wounds of Jesus, I receive my healing, my salvation, my breakthrough – I will not suffer for nothing!
3. My Father, any comfortable settlement that is blocking my Bethlehem, scatter it! Move me by force to my Boaz!
4. I refuse Orpah anointing! I receive Ruth anointing! I will follow my Naomi into my next level!
5. O God, convert every death in my family, every loss, every closed door – into my open door and school fees and promotion!
6. Like a woman in travail, I declare – I will push through this pain and my baby of breakthrough will come out alive!
7. Father, connect me to my broken car! Let my destiny helper’s car break down before me so I can help him!
8. Every event programmed by heaven to announce me, even if it looks like shame – I embrace it! Let it happen!
9. I will not abort my event in the place of prayer! Give me strength like the angel gave Jesus to go through!
10. My time has come! I decree – My event has given birth to my history, my pain has given birth to my gain, in the name of Jesus!
