The IGP’s Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET), in collaboration with Police at Jacobu, has arrested suspect Opoku Emmanuel for allegedly inciting violence and issuing threats against Police and Military personnel in a viral video.
According to Police, the suspect — who appeared masked in the video — warned officers against attempting to arrest armed robbers and allegedly threatened to kill any security officer who confronted him.
Police say Opoku Emmanuel was arrested on Wednesday, May 7, 2026, at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region. He is currently in Police custody and is expected to be put before court.
