VOLO, North Tongu – The District Manager of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for North Tongu, Mr. Jerry John Amedzro, has disclosed that their target is to enroll over 80% of the population of North Tongu onto the National Health Insurance Scheme.
He stated this during the commissioning of the Mother and Child Clinic at Volo.
Mr. Amedzro advised the public that though the Free Primary Healthcare policy is there to offer free health services to patients with one or two conditions, there will be some conditions that may require referral to higher hospitals, where health insurance will be needed.
He therefore urged everyone to register for the National Health Insurance Scheme to ensure continuous access to quality healthcare.
