An 18 year-old male appeared before the Ritavi Magistrate’s Court in connection with two counts of rape committed in Nkomanini village on Friday 01 May 2026.
It is alleged that on 30 April 2026, a 14 year-old male and his 08 year-old brother were raped in their home.
Preliminary investigations indicated that both victims share a room with their 18 year-old male cousin, who is the suspect in the matter.
The suspect allegedly threatened the victims not to disclose the incidents.
The elderly victim later informed his mother, and the incident was immediately reported to the local police.
A manhunt was launched, and the suspect was eventually apprehended on Friday, 01 May 2026, at Nkomanini village.
The suspect is facing two charges of rape.
Police investigations are continuing.
