A market woman has lost her life following heavy rains that hit parts of Tema.
According to an Assembly Member, the deceased was seen trading around Barbar Lane near the drug store, where beans are sold at the Community 1 Market. She lost her life while rushing to the market after receiving a call from a customer who wanted to buy some items.
Reports indicate that she attempted to cross an area near a gutter during the downpour but slipped and fell into an overflowing drain. The strong floodwaters swept her away, and her body was later recovered at Tema New Town.
