On Tuesday, 5th May 2026, the North Tongu District Assembly successfully elected Hon. Isaac Gada, Assembly Member for the Kluma Electoral Area, as the new Presiding Member of the Assembly.
The election follows previous Assembly sittings during which the former Presiding Member was unable to secure the constitutionally required two-thirds majority approval after two rounds of voting.
On behalf of the Assembly, our MP / Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and the people of North Tongu, DCE warmly congratulate Hon. Isaac Gada on his election and welcome him to his new role. She said , she look forward to working closely with him and all Assembly Members to strengthen local governance, promote effective legislation and advance the development of our district.
