This is 38-year-old Sarah Wilson, also known as Maame Esi, who allegedly used a voice changer, ‘Magic voice’ to impersonate the Central North Regional Police Commander to defraud the father of her late boyfriend, a police inspector.
According to reports, she posed as the Central North Regional Police Commander and deceived the deceased inspector’s father into sending her GH¢2,000 for funeral arrangements and a death certificate.
After the father complied and sent the money, she allegedly demanded another GH¢2,000 urgently for further purported official processes.
This triggered suspicion, prompting the deceased inspector’s father to lodge a complaint at the police station, leading to her arrest.
She is said to have admitted the offence.
