Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has received 1 million barrels of Bonga Crude Oil aboard the MT Cap Felix, purchased from Shell and supplied through tolling partner Fujeirah/Triangle Commodities Trading.
This is a major step in TOR’s revival, aimed at restoring stable refining operations and reducing Ghana’s dependence on imported petroleum products.
Once refined, the crude is expected to produce significant volumes of LPG, petrol, diesel, kerosene and fuel oil for both the Ghanaian and regional markets.
Ghana’s refinery is waking up again.
