ANLOGA – The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, has engaged basic school students in the district with a call on them to prioritize proper personal hygiene while remaining strictly focused on their education. The DCE emphasized that managing menstruation safely and with confidence is essential to ensuring that no girl child falls behind academically due to natural physiological phases.
Hon. Kpedor made these remarks during a series of outreach visits to Whuti E.P. Primary School and Srogboe Eastridge Junior High School to commemorate the 2026 International Menstrual Hygiene Day. The school-level engagements provided a platform for direct interaction between local government leadership and young schoolgirls regarding menstrual health and reproductive dignity.
Addressing the students, the Anloga DCE actively educated them on safe, healthy, and proper practices during their monthly cycles. She urged them to dismiss any sense of shame or anxiety associated with menstruation, charging them instead to maintain their self-esteem and give their maximum attention to their classroom lessons.
The beneficiary students expressed deep appreciation for the DCE’s visit and the items provided, noting that such timely interactions give them the reassurance and support needed to attend school consistently.
