25-year-old Vera and her boyfriend, Daniel Omane had been together for about eight years and had a child, but their relationship was full of tension. There were frequent arguments, mostly over cheating. Vera strongly believed Daniel was seeing other girls behind her back, it made her deeply jealous and hurt. She had several times confronted and warned the women she suspected were cheating with her boyfriend “anelka”, trying to protect her relationship.
As the problems grew, even Vera’s mother stepped in and advised that they should live separately to reduce the constant fighting. Daniel agreed and got a different place for her and their child. In the end, Vera admitted to the act, and the court sentenced her to 12 years imprisonment with hard labour.
What began as a relationship full of love and hope ended in loss, leaving behind a child caught in the middle of it all.
