A 21-year-old woman has been arrested by the Ashaiman Police after she was allegedly caught attempting to smuggle Indian hemp to her boyfriend who is currently in police custody.
According to reports, the suspect cleverly concealed the suspected substance inside a pie and a container of yogurt during a visit to the police cell.
However, alert officers on duty became suspicious and conducted a thorough search, leading to the discovery of the hidden contraband before it could be handed over to the inmate.
The young woman was immediately arrested at the scene and taken into custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
