The Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, says disagreements over land acquisition are delaying the start of the proposed 24-hour Economy Market project in the municipality.
Speaking on Lorlornyo FM’s _Daybreak Show_ on Monday, 18th May 2026, Mr. Tsekpo explained that disputes among families regarding the release of land have slowed progress on processes needed to commence the project.
He appealed to the families involved to resolve their differences to allow the land to be released and work to begin.
The MP also expressed appreciation to the Paramount Chief of the Gbi Traditional Area, Torgbega Gabusu VII, for efforts being made to help address the issue and facilitate progress on the project.
